Q: What distance will the pendant work from the alarm base unit?
Generally speaking, your pendant will work within around 100 metres from the alarm base unit.
Q: Will the system affect my home phone?
No, the alarm base unit will not affect your home phone.
Q: Can the same alarm base unit monitor more than one person?
Yes. This is an excellent idea if you have someone else living in your home who may also benefit from using an Intra Telecare alarm system. There is no extra monitoring fee for an extra pendant. If there is a second user in the home, you just need to provide us with their details. Additional pendants are available when you purchase an alarm for a one-off fee of £49 plus VAT.
Q: Can I still use the system if I am unable to supply any key-holders?
Yes, we understand not everybody is able to supply a reliable key-holder. If this is the case, we would require you to have a key-safe installed which will enable the emergency services to gain entry to your property securely. We are able to supply a key-safe for you if this is required.
Q: Can I use the pendant in the shower/bath?
Yes, the pendant we supply you with is fully waterproof and we would recommend to keep the pendant within reach whilst in the shower or bath as this is where most trips, slips and falls occur.
Q: What will happen if I accidentally press the button?
Please don’t worry about accidentally pressing your button. We would simply speak to you via the system’s loudspeaker at which point you can make the call centre aware that no help is needed.
